We use to be generally functional (or so i'd like to think) when it was just us First Levelers. we had blackouts, but we also had communication between most of us, on a basic level.
Lately we've discovered first and second level citizens can be in the body together, but with a weird barrier, blocking communication and causing a "possession" effect. it feels like we've progressed into "severe DID" where before our symptoms were manageable.

A main issue im having is giving up control (aka awareness) of what's going on in the outside realm to the citizens from the Second Level, and when they take over, well, stuff turns into a disaster.
We found out one of us doesn't know that we don't live in our previous house anymore. She thought she still lived with her abusers and decided that that day would be the day she ran away. 
after nearly having the cops called to search for us (this after i tried to seek help for her attempting to kill us) we managed to talk her into giving up the body. well, we found ourselves on suicide watch then because the doctor decided it would be smart to raise that alarm. *End Trigger Warning*
it was too hard to damage control all this, so we ended up having to go to therapy or go to the hospital, and our caregiver was told about us. all this was super stressful, but we learned our caregiver already knew about us (turns out we aren't as stealthy as we thought
) so she was very understanding. now it's wind down time from all this, and 2 more people from the second level have stepped forward. im feeling a bit overwhelmed, because we're still trying to wrap our head around the first string of events, but i guess there's no rest for the wicked.
