It may seem a little "out there" to some, but some people believe that children are naturally capable of the phenomenon of astral projection (leaving the body, yet remaining aware, also under some circumstances called an out of body experience or OOBE for short). I believe it is very possible you actually flew, although it may have not been your physical body doing this, it may not have been dissociation solely either.
Dissociation is closely connected with astral projection, and I have noticed in personal experience and research that astral projection comes with greater ease to people who have DID or other dissociative disorders due to their natural abilities to leave their bodies, or separate themselves from them to varying degrees.
I have had experiences (also in running away from someone) where I believed to have flown down stairs as well.
