Startle effect

Postby FaithinWrongthings » Thu Apr 18, 2013 1:24 am

I have this weird thing that happens to me all the time; I shake.
Sometimes I shake like im cold (though I'm not and warming up dosnt help) and others its just a shake but it happens almost every hour and it scares me because I know a lady who's baby kept doing the "startle effect" and was diagnosed with siezures. I didn't think mug of it until it started happening more and more and I know this isn't normal.

Could it be part of DID?
I thought not but I saw the post about it here and I'm not sure if they would be considered seizures but if you guys thought it might be a cause for concern ill make an appointment with my doc and at the same time, if I don't have a negative test by then, talk o my doc about this possible pregnancy.

Btw storm passed got power back all is well now.

Also wanted to add very rarley(but happening more often)
I get really bad Chet pains on either side. The more it happens the worse it gets. Like someone stabbed my in the chest and the pain moves to under my arm.

Do you possibly get panic attacks? When I get panic attacks it feels similar to what you described.

I do, but both the heat pain and shakes are unrelated to them. Mostly I just hyperventilate.
The pain is always out of the blue for no reason no extra stress and same with shaking.

I did shake a lot but that was a long time ago.
I shook a lot so the bad "stuff" (memories?) go away. I heard someone in this forum said shaking means good. But I don't know about you. I hope you'll get better soon. :) Sorry if I can't help you a lot.

Have you asked inside if there's someone inside who want to be known/talk or who's scared when you're having these effects? It might be someone inside.

Well I am sorry to hear that...
On the forum - there will be no answer for that. It sounds serious and if it is happening every hour and you suspect you might be pregnant- IF it were me, IF- I'd go to emergency. No kidding. I'm not saying this to stress you, just seeing a doctor at this point seems the only reasonable thing to do... best of luck, keep us updated.

I agree - I am a bit concerned about you, I think maybe you should go see someone about it. But please stay calm, I dont mean to worry you with this.

I'm glad you guys are through the storm and you're all okay :)

The thread I believe AdamMZ is referring to:
from AdamMz>>>>Sometimes, when I remember something horrible or embarrassing, I always shake my limbs for like half a second. Sometimes after I do that, I will breathe fast. Sometimes, when I feel depress I always think of someone who is a nice girl. Like that person is on my side and tries to calm me down. After that when I realized it was just my "fantasy", I started to cry. I really need someone.<<<<

HI, You can get help here. Our T sayd that when bodies shake, it is good. The shaking is shaking something out of the body or system to rid yourself of a painful/frightening issues/situations. Our T doesnt mean bodies memories or body pain. HE specifically means shaking. HE told us of a web site once that was about polar bears. Something about they were maybe the only non human animal that deosnt have non-human predators. ANyway, there is a video of Humans trying to catch one. The bear becomes frightened and shakes himself to regulate the body until the bear is calm.
I am glad you have a nice girl to be of comfort for you.
[say if anyone knows that utube polar bear video link, I haven t actually seen it and I may have easily reported incorrect info from our T]

More of the thread can be read here :)
