Hope has arrived! **It may trigger, but I dunno**

Good news!! So, there's always been this voice that is comforting and would talk to me when I was sad or confused. Well, denial was kicking in and so was depression and anger. I doubted I would be able to sleep. Anyway, this girl helped me the last time that this was happening. She has this comforting voice and she is very calm in nature. She talks to me like a nurturing mother would and I've never had much experience with that seeing as my mother died when I was four.

Anyway, she was just talking to me and I would ask her questions about past trauma but she wouldn't tell me because she said that I wouldn't be able to handle it yet. This brought denial back into my mind because I couldn't get an answer, but then she pointed out that Lulu gave me a small fraction of a memory and I was in hysterics for about an hour and a half. The girl said that I would find things out from each alter at my own pace and to take it one step at a time.

Anyway, I asked her if she had a name and she said that she never really knew what to call herself. So, I would name off names and she would kindly reject some because she just didn't feel like any fit her. At last, a decision was made and she said that she liked the name HOPE. That is pretty amazing, isn't it? She's the one who gives me so much hope and peace and that name seems to fit her like a glove. :)

This is wonderful news! :) I'm glad you're making progress and figuring things out. Hope is right that finding things out will take time and patience. We applaud your progress in this communication and hope things continue to improve. Remember to take it slow and steady. Things will be rocky but it will be alright.
Safe hugs to you if you would like them

Hope sounds as if she is very similar to our Mary. Mary wasn't always called Mary, she used to be known as god, because that is how we made sense of having a voice speaking to us, by saying it was god. But she asked to be called Mary when we realised she wasn't god (as we've never even believed in god!) and realised she was an alter, like the rest of us. A very comforting part to have though. Good for you all :)

She says that she never really took time to figure things out about herself because she was so busy taking care of everything on the inside. She didn't seem to mind, though. She seems to want to keep everything peaceful and in control. Maybe she's like a leader or something? She seems the most stable out of all of us. I think she is probably around 23 or 24, but we can't say for sure.

Almost definitely, she is the caretaker alter. Ours is a young woman named Edna. She spent most of her life in what you might would call a comatose state. And apparently from what we understand, because of her intense empathy, she was actually experiencing being other people during her time in that state. Her subsequent abilities are really quite befuddling to me, in that way...

Anyway, she seems to have the same inconsideration for her own details that your alter does, due to the same reasons of caring. In fact, she didn't seem to know her own name either, it was actually the protector alter Ryan who told me one day, what her real name was. That day, I found her standing amnesiacally around the woods. Then, as I was walking home, the ISH appeared mysteriously.

Sorry if I'm babbling a little bit, but I just thought there might be some mutual benefit from this. Actually, I'm finding myself relating to many of your posts. I find it significant because I don't relate to most of the posters that I encounter.

It's great to know that I'm not the only one experiencing these things! It helps take the denial that I get away. ^^ If you ever have any questions or need somebody to talk to, feel free to PM me.
