I am being investigated by my neurologist because he thinks my "epilepsy" is linked to my dissociation problems and they are therefore PNES and not epileptic seizures.
I can't find much information online, is anyone familiar with this condition or could point me in the right direction to find any?
Thank you

The only person I know of who has seizures also has dissociation problems, but her seizures are a different type. Global something, causes her to black out but act normal.
Yeah, I'm not any help, but I saw no one had replied and I wanted you to know there is someone else out there who has seizures and dissociation. I'm not sure where you could find info on it.

Whether seizures in someone diagnosed with DID are epileptic seizures or psychogenenic non-epileptic seizures, is an important and rather frequently asked question here on the DID Forum. Here is a thread about it:
Differential diagnosis: dissociative vs epileptic seizures
Dx DID older woman married w kids.
0 Una, host + 3, 1, 5. 1 animal.
2 older man. 3 teen girl.
4 girl behind amnesia wall. 5 girl in love.
Our thread.

Hi Alice,
I have
really bad pseudoseizures! So bad that sometimes I have a sore body for weeks afterwards. Other times they are slight and are only in my legs. Sometimes those are so hard though that it feels like my knees hyper-extend and then I am hurt and limping.
Often they seem to act like a startle reflex. I have noticed that the more a certain alter is out, the less common the seizures are. Even with one of them that is out a lot, if we are surprised we seize. It use to be so bad that it accompanied every switch. I looked like a freak since the switches were constant. That was almost 2 years ago. I still have them but if I do they are usually mild and below the waist only.
My seizures look just like the ones in this video - they are like a fast paced bicycle nature.
Did you see the video I linked to? An epileptic seizure does not look like this.

I don't have seizures but I have myoclonus. I don't know yet if it's connected with my DID or not. I hope you figure this out
