Greetings

'ello all,

My name is Ascha and I'm part of the sub-group Miranda within Jo's system. Jo's husband likes to call me "the scout" because I am the first within our group to give a name, though I do understand our thirteen year old has posted a small amount in your Teen section.

I am unsure what exactly to say, for I am better with people asking questions and then answering. The others call me loose-tongued. I am indeed British, the only British one in the entire system that I am aware of. I am 23 years old and reside in the darkest heart of Miranda, where there is very little - if none at all - light.

Writing this happens to be only my fourth time out in the body, the other times were to be out to survey Jo's environment to ensure it would be safe for the others to come out. This by no way means I am a protector, exactly, but unlike the others I have built in defenses in my skin, which is toxic to those who touch it. Though there are those who are immune, and I am suspecting Jo's husband is one of them as it has been three days and he ha not fallen ill since touching me on our first meeting.

I am afraid I am running out of things to discuss, but please, feel free to ask questions. I'll even tell you what I look like if you a in such way curious.

Amelia, I understand your anger, and there is basis for it. You feel as if The Miranda are intruding. Changes are happening, things are disrupted, more sharing must happen, etc. None of these things are very appealing.

But one must remember that everyone, every part, Miranda or not, are a part of you in some way, some how, some form. They're not going to go anywhere, you can't make them leave, they don't just "disappear", and anger and hatred will only lead you straight into an unbreakable wall repeatedly. Just because The Miranda did not start out in your awareness, just because they've "arrived" after the group you're used to, does not mean they deserve to be turned away by anyone any more than you do. You are no better than them, and they are no better than you. You all deserve to be accepted, understood, and equal shares to life and aspects of it (such as therapy, this site, being out, etc). You are all a part of a system, a team, and it may take time to adjust, it may take time to get used to, it may take time to set up boundaries and such, but if you don't eventually work out a way for you all to at least somewhat work together, no one is going to enjoy themselves.

I'm not getting at you, Amelia. Like I said, I understand your anger. When I was Kataki and....well...Cassie got...out of the closet I'd put her in...I was outraged. "No", I said. "We can't afford this right now, we can't deal with you, go back. Stay". But she didn't. And I couldn't make her. And I'm glad I wasn't able to. Sometimes....sometimes she's all that makes fighting for so long worth it. Me being able to give her times to be that 8 yr old she never really could be, that is sometimes the only purpose I see in my life, and it's a good purpose to have I've come to realize. When Ray was surfacing, I said the same thing. "No, we can't do this, go back". But she didn't. So I learned to adjust. And now that mutt ain't so bad most of the time. When Shay was surfacing, I said the same thing once again. But once again, I found myself adjusting, and yeah, not gonna lie, she can be a pain in the f*#king @$$ sometimes, but that doesn't earn her banishment. That doesn't mean she deserves to be told to leave and never come back, or anything like that. That doesn't mean I have a right to hate her, because all she's doing is the same thing I am- trying her best to survive, and simply existing. It's not her fault she's here. She didn't ask to be here. None of us did. And we have to realize and accept that when we get p*ssed off at each other, because there's no one to blame. There's no one that deserves anger or hatred, unless they're purposefully sabotaging the system or something, and even then, Rain has some "well, they have a reason, so it's more understandable" preachy sh*t to spew about that, I'm sure.

Sorry if I'm rambling. The twins smoked recently, and I must admit, it's easier to talk to others and be open if I'm not sober.

Anyway, you have every right to be upset, Amelia. But holding that anger against The Miranda won't exactly help anyone, and The Miranda aren't to blame. Like I said, in some way, some how, in some form, The Miranda are a part of you, and they were needed by Jo at some point in time otherwise they wouldn't be here. Every part, no matter how they're connected, was needed at some point and is still needed by Jo. You are all pieces of the same puzzle, no matter how you fit together. You can't complete a puzzle if some of the pieces aren't there.

I hope you both find a way to work together a bit better. Perhaps you can simply ask them to "back off" for a bit, or something? Just give you guys some space, and explain that it's going to take time to adjust and such to their presence? I'm sure they'd understand that. Perhaps you can ask them to stay on their own threads for the most part? (It's not that fair to ask them to stay away from threads like the littles' thread or the teen thread, but I mean, maybe you can ask them to not post on threads you guys make, or something like that?). Try asking them to maybe leave notes asking others to play, not you or anyone else who makes it clear they don't want to play. That way they won't disturb as much by knocking. Also try asking them to give you guys a bit of space for a bit, and explain why you don't like them asking Nadia about Theresa and such. The more people understand about why things bug you, or why you're angry, the easier solutions can be reached and conflicts can be resolved.

Hello and welcome, Ascha!

Can we just ask, how do you pronounce your name..? We just want to make sure because we're all reading it different ways.

If you're ok with sharing what you look like, we definitely wouldn't mind reading about it. We like reading about how other alters/parts/etc. are and what they look like and such. We find descriptions of inner worlds, system structures, alters/parts/etc., and such an interesting read.

If you're better at asking questions, feel free to ask us anything. We like answering questions. We're not so good at thinking them up to ask, and we're not so good at keeping a conversation going, but we're great at answering questions haha.

Every once in a while, I seem to share my sister's gift with words (though I'm still nowhere near as eloquent as she is, but then, I don't give a rat's @$$ about eloquence. Long as my point gets across I'm good).
Your respect for me earns respect from me. (Say what?? Did that just happen? Quick, call the media! Someone earned respect from Kat and made it look easy!) Shut up, brat, or I'll make you shut up. As I was saying, I can tell that you know and comprehend what you say, and what the word "respect" means. That alone earns an amount of respect from me because so many people, (not here, in the (outside) world), throw that word around without actually knowing or caring what it means.

Thank you very much. I don't throw away with words that easily. Maybe it's the way I am, or politeness, or I don't know, but even when someone says "I love you", and I don't feel it from the bottom of my heart, I can't say "I love you" back. Thanks.

Perhaps you would be more apt to talking to me on here instead of face to face. I am merely asking questions of you and the others because it was decided within Miranda that I would decide whether all was safe for us to visit. You are making this most difficult. We are not going anywhere, I'm afraid.

Now, I can be just as vicious as you, Amelia. Keep that in mind, as it might be the one place in which we can bond. Also, perhaps you do not like us "invading" your space because you cannot "invade" our own. I am willing to show you my section of Miranda, if you can handle the dark.

It is pronounced Ay-sha. I understand it is an uncommon name and I'm not really sure where it comes from.

Very well. My hair is black and down to my back-end. My skin does have an olive tint, as all in Miranda's do, but due to the fact as I spend most my time in nearly complete darkness it is also very pale. My eyes are red and I do have fangs. I'm also overly skinny and while I'm not sure what my exact height it is definitely shorter than Jo's.

I would be happy to describe my portion of the Miranda part of the inner world, but I'm afraid my time out now is limited to just this reply. Perhaps later in the day.
