Feels like the only one

("Dissociative Identity Disorder is a rare and complex mental disorder. There's only 0.1% of Americans have DID. So, does that means I'm the only one who have DID in my class, in my place, in my country?"-Adam)

Probably not - .1% is one in every thousand, and this doesn't count people who are un/misdiagnosed. A thousand people may seem like a lot, and it might be, but there is even a chance you know someone else with DID and don't even know it yet!

I know a lot of the time it feels like you're the only one, and it gets lonely, but you're not alone

We don't live in like a big country. We live in Malaysia. But maybe you're right.

DID is not rare. The rule of thumb for qualifying a condition as rare is 1 in 2000 persons in the general population. Experts from multiple countries estimate that dissociated identities are present in at least 1 in 100 persons. Some estimates are much higher: 1 in 50, even 1 in 20.

You feel alone, just like everyone does, but you are not alone.

We see by your signature that you, yourself, aren't diagnosed, so technically, you're not part of that .1 % because you're not a part of that record since you're not diagnosed. So of course it's possible for there to be others with DID, and it's highly unlikely that you're the only one, small country or not. As Gerudo7 said, think of all the undiagnosed people such as yourself, of all the misdiagnosed people, and of all the people who probably haven't realized/discovered that they have DID yet. Most likely, you're definitely not the "only one", even if it feels that way.

There is going to be a higher or lower prevalence of DID in countries based on the violence rate of said country, obviously. But no matter what, there is going to be DID'ers there. I'm from a small country as well and I have personally met 3 people who have been diagnosed and have told me. I hope you find people who can support you on your journey and make you feel less alone.
