Trigger warning... At my wits end :(

I am trying so hard to be able to function but with all the switching and littles, all I can do is watch cartoons and Play with stuffed animal, etc. my mom and dad understand my alters (to a point) but I sometimes have a hard time doing much of anything and they keep trying to tell me to clean my room, do this or do that, but I have a hard time even being an "adult" I know it probably sounds stupid but I have hundreds of littles and cannot even do things. I get so made fun of for being so "childlike" as a 22 year old, I try to explain but not sure what to do. I even have problems holding my bladder and can't get to the restroom on time sometimes, I know that sounds embarrassing but I'm just frustrated.

It's tough and hella frustrating when people don't get it. Yeah you are 22 but not everybody in there is 22 and people usually don't get that what the standards for a singleton are don't neccassarily jive in multiple land. We get you. I mean, our whole life is a democracy, where a shit-ton of people are trying to carve out their own spaces in one life. Sometimes this is productive and sometimes it is not. Sorry your rents are bagging on you for cleaning and silly crap. You are doing your best and who gives a fignut if there are some loose books and socks on the floor?? The kids deserve outside time for play as much as anyone else and if some things dont get done, it's like, whatever. It can be annoying when people mock...some folks at work say stupid garbage about us, like being robotic sometimes and clever sometimes and a hippie sometimes and very childish other times (like when Kitty came out and totally gushed over a sparkly wand) and just generally weird. There are accidents and odd stares but i like us and even if people think its weird I wouldn't change us. Hope things go "for the up" soon.

Sometimes you just have to get through the days and nights. Just do what you feel like doing. Time will help.

I very much agree with galaxies - it's just hard for singletons to understand sometimes. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better now. This place always has support and understanding for you

I think of it this way. Some people can't understand chemistry: they get the principle but not the depths of it. Some people can't understand philosophy: they know the function but can't deal with specifics. And some people just can't wrap their brain around the idea that one body does not always mean there is only one person in there. Or if they can grasp that, they sometimes can't understand the mechanics of it. Like, we don't act the same. We don't like the same things. We don't have the same goals or interests. We don't hold the same responsibilities. We prioritize differently. That's where the break-down usually happens. Like, non-multiples would think, "why cant X person come out to do that Y-thing even if Z is already out doing Q. because Y needs to be done!" But to continue on the alphabet soup, i'd say, "it's not that easy because Z, R, M, and L don't give a sh*t about that Y-thing or even know about it, meanwhile X is too busy inside with P and V, and we promised D some ice-cream, so..." Herp derp. Really I think understanding it is just how people are with their own self. And I don't take it personally when people can't understand what the f*ck I am on about, because really, I can't even begin to understand only one person in one body living one life. That sounds totally boring and tiring and damn am I glad to not be one of them. I always think its kinda funny when people think I am a nutter or crazy or whatever, because really, with all the sh*t we've been through, without being multiple, we really would be crazy... It's a totally diamond response to events that would cause insanity! Anyways that's all.
