Hi For All,
I'm student of occupational therapy. I haven't complete picture about what people with depression will suffer from in means of daily function and daily routine.

I hope that some explain his/her story, That's will be useful to me.

Please add any relevant interested information related to medications and strategies of treatment

I have written extensively about how I deal with depression on my web site. Basically, I use support groups, exercise, writing in a journal, and cognitive therapy. I eat a balanced diet and take flax seed.

My methods work for me; I used to take a lot of meds, but I've been off of them for years now. However, I do have my ups and downs. I learned that I can force my muscles to move my body around, no matter how low I feel. Once I climb out of bed and start doing what I have to do, I feel better. I would guess that the right meds would keep me perfectally level and happy all the time, but I chose to not use them one day at a time. Many people seem to get great help with meds only. Some of us experience a lot of side effects. I still remember the 100 pounds that I had to work off as a result of my years on psychotropic medication.

I get up and take a lot of medication and then go through the day as a ball of anxiety and depression and misery.

I find I don't have an appetite and so don't eat properly over long periods of time, and I sleep and cry a lot. Not being active or eating results in my muscles wasteing and my body acheing.

After I have been crying I feel exhausted, my body aches again and I get hadaches.

My energy levels are very low and so when I do try to buisy myself I quickly get tired and feel I need to flop down and sleep.

When I try to complete a task i.e. washing the dishes I find it very hard to keep my mind on focused, I often realise that I have been standing still for minutes, or I begin to cry because my thoughts become dark. Generally tasks take much longer to complete than usuall.

hey its ok man thanks for the support but i am starting to feel better... i think. i hope that this isnt one of those times when you think you are getting better only to feelt twice as bad as you ever did two days later. i think that the prozac is starting to have a positive impact on my mood.
