Paranoia..help..please..(possible triggers)

Postby PaganRose » Thu Jan 17, 2013 11:19 pm

So recently my depression has kicked in, as has my paranoia, the paranoia more then depression.
I mentioned this to a friend earlier today as they are Normaly supportive. But they decided to mess about and started telling me there are cameras in my room so people can watch my every move..
In my current state of mind I have completely bought in to it.
Unfortunelty I had no choice but to come to my room..so I'm now sat here with my back to the wall..has to be against the wall..despretly trying not to pick at my skin till it is red raw and bleeding...
It begins with a dark, glowing ember
Something black, burning its way out of me
Searing the flesh, pain is the only thing I feel
Scar’s all I see
Oh no, the fire's burning my insides again
What can I do to silence my desire tonight?
Face consumer reason leaving all the ashes there -artyu

Have you sought help for this yet? It sounds like you're in a spiral right now that will need some type of intervention to stop.

That friend was terrible to make fun of your paranoia. If you have any safe friends or people in your life try to get to them tomorrow. Even if they don't know your issues, it's comforting to be around people who distract from bad things.

Please try to stay safe and talk to someone who can help tomorrow.
Blame it on me, but know that I won't regret one iota.

If your friend has started to do this when they are usually supportive, ask yourself why.

Were you supposed to get treatment and changed your mind? Stopped taking your meds? Ignored something important that's happened to them? Constantly leaning on them for support with no positive action?

Something has made this friend annoyed with you - work out what it is and fix it. This person is your friend (probably for a while) and knows you a damn site better than anyone on this forum.

If this person is your friend, why didn't you speak to them first? That's the least you owe them.
I'm not arguing; I'm explaining why I'm right.
