I don't know if this this the right place or not, but I feel like I'm stuck on the inside of my head and can't get out. It's hard for me to socialize with people on a superficial level. I feel small talk is meaningless and therefore I don't like to talk with people. Some have said I have attachment issues. I'm married and have a child and it's hard to play and be social with my child or wife.
Any thoughts would help???

Hi, jkgoose937. I'm sorry you are going through this. Is there anything in your past that you think might make you feel and act this way? Maybe you are afraid of attachment becouse you have been hurt.
I think you should talk about this with your wife a little bit and take it one step at a time and try to be more involved with her and the child.

Is this a "phase" or is it something that always was with you, or at least you were like that for several years? If it is kind of a "permanent" thing, it sounds like schizoid personality disorder, there is a forum about it. Otherwise it might be a more immediate issue making it hard for you to socialise.

If it is just recent it is likely depersonalization. It sounds more like Schizoid personality disorder, but one can suffer from both.
I personally have Schizoid personality disorder, Asperger Syndrome and Depersonalization disorder.
