I have an appointment with a psychiatrist on August 6th, and I think it should go without saying that I'm nervous af. What should I do to help myself relax and not be scared?

Admitting that you need help for a mental issue is braver than ignoring a persistent problem and not doing anything about it. It may help you to write down the things you wish to discuss with your therapist and give that note to him/ her. Hope your T can help you.
