HELP!!

I've recently just come to terms with the fact that I am a compulsive liar. My lying has left my relationship in pieces and I've realised that there's no way I can carry on like this in life, it has to stop. It's been pointed out that I've kept lying even when complete evidence against me. I've said in the past that I'll change but I never have, this being another thing that's damaged my relationship.

I'd really love any advice or help that can be given, although I'm only 16 so going to see a therapist is kind of out of the question :/ But any other advise or just being able to talk to someone who can relate and understand would be much appreciated. Thanks

I mean I don't want to do this just for myself, my lying has already really hurt my girlfriend and as far as I'm concerned that's more than far enough. I want to stop this so that the ones I love don't get hurt anymore

16 isn't too young for therapy.

how about try a twelve step group like alanon and do the 12 steps- it can relieve many defects of character...admitting to someone else, praying- getting a higher power- just try it! Peace and best wishes.

That seems more like an anxiety problem. Compulsive lying is things like telling lies for no reason, f ex telling a lie when you don't need to say anything and it's very likely to be found out if you lie, but keeping your mouth shut would let you get away with it.
