I have been with my girlfriend for almost 2 years now.. I ve done terrible things to her as far as lying . Ive lied to her about being in the Navy for 4 years when in fact i never even made it through boot camp.'I have told her this recently. Ive lied to her about going to a therapist . Ive been in therapy in the past and i guess ive been in denial about it actually working. She has put up with alot ... I really do love her very much..

Are you able to talk about this with a therapist? Perhaps writing it out and giving them the letter, so you aren't tempted to lie when meeting them? Reading other threads in this forum may give some other ideas too, but it's such a hard situation, it may be difficult to stop without external support.
“We think too much and feel too little.
More than machinery, we need humanity.
More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.”
Charlie Chaplain in The Great Dictator
