I believe my own lies

Postby JohnDeereMi » Sat Nov 01, 2008 5:23 am

I can lie to even the most holy people and believe what I say is the living truth. I dont know if it is a sickness or just a fantasy. It is becoming so real that I cant tell the difference half the time. What should I do?

Hi, JohnDeereMi! Maybe telling the person you lied to the truth when you realise what you did might help. You don't have to do anything that you are very uncomfortable with, but maybe telling the people who you think might be a bit understanding would be a good idea. You could try to keep track of the lies by keeping a journal and do your best to control it.

It all started with how I was raised. My father was the king of lies. He should of did that for a living. He was that good. It was always a con. MY fasther should of did anything for a living. He had talents but instead stayed on welfare and worked under the table using his sons as his workforce. I know father of the year material here. Now, he is 76 and still trying to beat the system. He hasnt learned anything. I like your idea....Thanks

It sucks that your dad treated you that way. You get to change and not let the consequences of his behaviour run your life, though. The fact that you want to get better is very important. Feel free to always post here too.

The hardest part of what I go through with this is that when I take a step forward I take 2 steps backgrounds. It is a never ending struggle

It will get better, John. If you can take one step forward, you can take more. You can learn from the past and try to fix what went wrong, it's not hopeless.

But I want more than just to be remembered as someone who can beat the odds at something.

If you beat the odds and got this far once, you can do even more. There are people here who, at some point, thought that they would never get better. You can have a good life. What would you like to be remembered as?
