Compulsive and Pathological

Hi~ I'm not sure if this is the right place to post it, but I'm wondering what is the difference between compulsive lying and pathological lying? or maybe theres no difference at all?

My guess is that compulsive lying is out of a persons control, and is not intended to cause harm (although it does!). Pathological lying, however, is intended and often with malice (to harm).
