Well hiya, I'm still alive and been trying to be as compliant as possible with taking venlafaxine and mirtazepine but I'm now weaning myself off as they just make me more aggressive, don't help me sleep and aren't working. Drs think I should just keep taking the tablets!! Took 100mg of diazepam two days ago, hospital did blood test then let me go. Drs advice to help me use other strategies was to have a bath( they know I only have a shower) and listen to a relaxation cd, despite me telling them I have no cd player. Left messages for cpn to call me but no response So almost ready to give up but just thought id ask the real experts for anything they think I can do that would help. My local nhs trust has a pledge to be the temporary custodians of hope when you have none, but they have washed all my hope down the drain.

*hugs* I feel your pain on that one, I hate when people don't listen.
I'm not sure where you are from and what the weathers like, but I find going for a walk/light jog helps me relax sometimes. Other times I try to write down how I am feeling, so I don't explode. Besides that I simply shell up and stay at home and sit in silence because I can't think of anything else to do (I know not good). Ok so maybe the sitting at home in silence happens a good bit more than the other two things. lol. I think more helpful posts will come later. I'm not that helpful :/ sorry.
But lots of hugs and good thoughts are coming from me.

I hope you feel better.

Sitting in silence is actually good. If you quiet your mind and just try to focus on your breathing this can help a lot. This is meditation. Some other things I do is drink hot tea. Exercise. Read online strategies to get better. Post in a forum. Journal my thoughts and feelings.

Very true bluwlf, but my silence is just that there is no noise in the house. My mind doesn't understand the concept of being quiet. That's why I said its not a good thing.
