I guess because my past relationships with women have fit the lyrics quite nicely. Not in a destructive or manipulative way but I think the contrast between words shows a person in despair, at their end tether, wanting a way out. I chose to leave my wife 3 months ago so I guess this is an appropriate song as it is how I feel or more so, how she feels about me. A 3 year marriage gone....argh.

This song is at number 1 on the country music charts as of this week. They play it like crazy. She listens to country music like me. If I would have only known what was wrong with her I would not have handled things the way I did. I hope this song isn't a trigger for her.

The last time we were together as a couple (I already knew she cheated a few days before) we were shopping at the salvation army store where I noticed a hide a bed. I said hey I like that why don't you see what you can get it for. She negotiated it for 30.00 for me. That was what I was going to sleep on.

We loaded it in the truck and headed for home when that song came on the radio. I looked at her and said god I love this song and cranked it up full blast. As she was listening an awful bewildered look came across her face. This song was playing and there was a new bed in the back of the truck. She was starting to understand that I knew her secret.
