BPDs holding on to jobs (trigger alert)

Postby Steve234 » Tue Apr 24, 2012 7:55 pm

Any bpds here who have overcome their disorder to gain responsible, high status, high paying jobs?

I'm dating a really intelligent, high functioning bpd who just got her m.d. She got fired at her first job, but got a new residency elsewhere - is there hope for success for her, or do these people have the tendency to not be able to hold on to jobs?

Ive done many sacrificial things for her, and wonder whens it all going to end, and if it will just lead me to being chronically walking on egg shells with nothing to show for it.

I moved to Baltimore to be with her while she works a temporary job as an occupational therapist therapist for the infirm, but I don't have any hope of employment here and am living off my savings(which is substantial).

She's fiscally irresponsible and reckless, but she's intelligent and energetic and has a good, idealistic heart ( although manic-like). She drinks every day and I worry about her health.
