pins and needles or sensory feelings

Postby thefool » Sat Mar 10, 2012 6:11 am

Does anyone have pins and needles or as if people are touching them or things crawling on them or in them at times especially great stress and feeling really anxious, depressed, stressed out ?
I tend to experience this all the time and have for a long time and it becomes really annoying. I don't even feel real.

Lmao i said that to my friend actually via text.
He messaged me about the fact he got a mushroom cap.
I said i don't need drugs/trips to trip i trip off my own mental state or stress. I am sitting here and i feel like i am being touched, and things are crawling all over me and pins and needles also i keep seeing something out the corner of my eye its not there when i turn around.

Its great i have had nothing, i got out of bed, i feel like i am about to explode and things are touching me all over.

When you listen to a very emotional or moving piece of music, do you get the goosebumps/pins and needles?

Do me a favor. Youtube a few of your favorite songs with videos and tell me if you have these feelings of pins and needles then. :)

The following is from wikipedia. You may find it interesting.

Goose bumps, also called goose flesh, goose pimples, chill bumps, chicken skin, funky spots, Dasler Bumps, chicken bumps, people bumps or the medical term cutis anserina, are the bumps on a person's skin at the base of body hairs which may involuntarily develop when a person is cold or experiences strong emotions such as fear, nostalgia, pleasure, awe, admiration and sexual arousal.

The reflex of producing goose bumps is known as horripilation, piloerection, or the pilomotor reflex. It occurs in many mammals besides humans; a prominent example is porcupines, which raise their quills when threatened, or sea otters when they encounter sharks or other predators.

Other creatures get goose bumps for the same reason, for example this is why a cat or dog’s hair stands on end and the cause behind a porcupine’s quills raising. In cold situations, the rising hair traps air between the hairs and skin, creating insulation and warmth. In response to fear, goose bumps make an animal appear larger – hopefully scaring away the enemy.

Yeah I do sometimes music triggers, gives me goosebumps and shivers or if i am so depressed i am too sensitive to bother with any music.

That song you linked i don't understand how it is funny lol but it is not the kind of music i normally listen too. Is it from a film?

it isn't the song so much that makes me giggly, but the giddy feeling i get from it lol.. but i think it's because it's very personal for me. they used that song, as well as some other songs by that band, in the movie Little Miss Sunshine, but that was just the music video for that song.

my brother used to listen to a lot of music like the one you linked.. brings back memories from my childhood :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LecAvHFWwrk this is what i'll listen to when i'm very very angry sometimes, though i think a lot of people would just think of it as ugly noise. but for me, it's an outlet where i can listen to anger, but not have to express it myself? idk. makes me feel better.

this bands music may have a bigger affect on me because of what she sings about, and the fact that they're from the next town over and i've seen them play in that basement a few times as well as other places, and we've chatted a few times. so i guess it makes it a tad bit more personal?

i think i'm rambling because i'm high.........

I do get this feeling on my scalp when my stress is high. It's more of a numbness feeling rather than pins and needles.. It doesn't hurt. It's just annoying and distracting as f**K.
