Hey...
I was just wondering if other BPD's do this..I am experiencing intense mood flucuations. I know this is most in part because of the bipolar but I wondering if its a BPD thing as well. Im feeling like I have to stuff down the craziness so I dont look like a loon

Yes, I know. Let it out hun. In fact, become an artist or musician. Craziness is pretty much a pre-requisite and no one will bat an eye.

(think Lady gaga). <3

I have them all of the time. I'm trying to find out what the differences are between mood changes experienced by a pwBPD and a pwBD. I'm in another BPD forum, and several of the members mentioned that they have bipolar traits as well. That made me start to wonder more about this.

Many Borderlines have bipolar 2, cyclothemia, I believe.

Yes, mood fluctuations are a big part of BPD. I'm in your situation, I have both bipolar and BPD. I just read somewhere on this forum that if you can manage BPD, you can much, much more easily manage the other disorders. That gave me a lot of hope.
Mood fluctuations are painful. Right now I'm there, I'm depressed and tearful. Just saying that to let you know that you're not alone.

Thanks guys! and its nice to know once I manage the BPD the bipolar and the disorders will diminish.
I am actually a musician...Although to have the emotional switch stuck on ON, I always felt that I was supposed to be different from other..I tend to have more deep thoughts and often ponder the questions of life if that makes sense

For me, mood lability is a huge problem.
One minute I'll be OK, or even happy and the next minute I will be writing a suicide note. It's scary sometimes, because I can't trust my moods any more. I notice this is a huge problem when I'm under a lot of stress, or have a lot of emotionally difficult things to deal with.
