LOL "Feelers"

Postby Katewixen » Sun Dec 25, 2011 5:30 am

Just saw someone refer to some of the sites inhabitants as "feelers"...LMAO. I think I am one of those being a borderline.

Got to get used to some of the terms used here.

Like NONs ...what is that?

 I use "thinkers" and "feelers" to distinguish between people who are driven more by their thoughts (data, logic etc.) and those who are driven more by their emotions (feelings, empathy etc.) - a bit like the Myers-Briggs categories.

Someone who does not have the mental health condition that is being discussed. So in here (the Borderline Personality Disorder Forum), a non is considered somebody who does not have BPD.
Sometimes "non" can mean a person without any mental illness, but I think more often the members use "norm", "normie" or "normal" instead.

And it saves on typing. "Non" is much quicker to type than "person who doesn't have BPD".

As soon as you feel outside the box, you are a NON. :)

OK :D

Although I tend to think of nons as "one of us" lol but in denial. They just pretend to be normal cos...well it is ingrained in them. Like an illness of it's own...pretend everything is normal!!! shoot! Is it ever?

Where would someone with an extreme propensity for intellectualisation fall? What if that person was extremely emotional aswell?

What if you are a thinker and a feeler? Thinking and feeling wildly different things. And then of course, having those thoughts and feelings line up every so often.

Which one am I?

I have to be one! I can't be both.
