Given that it's creating so much stress, maybe deactivating it for a while, even though you're thinking you should have done that first, is something you could go with. Maybe even deactivating it for a week, or even just a few days, and see how you go at first without it. Just my suggestions- I don't know what the healthiest way to deal with it is either. For me personally, it's not having an account.

The hardest part is trying to find something else to fill the void left by it- and I'm not really sure what to suggest there. I'm not very good at finding constructive stuff to fill empty voids with. The most constructive thing I can do is spend my spare time lurking on the forums here, where it feels relatively safe and I feel accepted.

I only log into facebook because my phone has a *check in* feature where I can say Im at certain places. So I like to check in at the police station at 2am as I drive past it.....or the bar at 2pm.....or the tattoo parlour.....or the local *massage parlour*.....all as I drive past them. I figure if the randoms on farcical book want to read about me, they might aswell have something funny. I think tonight I am checked in at a knitting class.
Self awareness doesn't reveal my indiscretions, exhaustion does.
