I think the keywords in that sentence is "may have"

I always thought I was more of an antisocial or a narcissist because I lack empathy and generally consider myself a superior being but I'm not quite sure.
I don't really know what my point in this post was buy thoughts concerning anything I've mentioned would be greatly appreciated.

I can see how you could perceive yourself as being a narcissist. Your post almost comes across as bragging or proud. To the best of my knowledge I don't think I've EVER read a thread by a borderline that talks about the joys of violence on others. I'm NOT saying that we as borderlines don't think about hurting people, but it's more out of rage. You seem to talk about it with a sense of joy.

WTF? I don't understand that since it's not how I see or experience BPD myself. Can someone explain this to me?

No, it's not more of a male thing, because I don't relate to any of this. Nothing against either, but I don't relate the types of violence discussed here as being typical of borderlines.

I laugh hysterically at violence all the time, I can't help it. He's not the only sadistic borderline in the world, that's for sure. You are correct about self mutilation though, that's a trademark of lots of different mental disorders, not just BPD. I'm glad you don't cut captain, although if you're a person who enjoys causing pain in general, it could get very addicting if you ever start doing it, so I'd advise you to avoid it if you can.

He may have borderline traits, but there's something else going on too, in my opinion.

hmmm...somehow i relate with this. not that i'm also a sadism. i'm more as the victim here. he's not BPD. he's schizo but he's also sadistic and masochism. i don't blame the schizo b/c i also knew some schizo before and they can be sweet.
i just happen to be in bad luck :?

i never intentionally hurt people/things for my own pleasure. but i've been in abusive relationship before and yes it's kind of an addiction to accept the pain. since i always have the thoughts of self harm, so it was more as hurting myself...in a severe kind of way by using other people in service. and stupid but true, i felt a lil bit acceptance in that and that was the only thing i hold on to.

but it really is not healthy and i won't even try to advise anyone to try.
and if anyone is in abusive relationship, please find help b/c whatever we feel it is NOT WORTH the consequence at all
unless both side agree and enjoy to abuse and be abused...perhaps...

not that i'm against you guys...but it's really is a problem you must be aware of.

i don't know if BPD can be abusive against others, but i also suspect that there are sumthin else going on
yesterday will never be tomorrow

Probably it's as simple as this, borderlines who inflict pain on others and enjoy abusing them do have something else going on, they are sadistic, but it's not necessarily related to their BPD.

I have noticed though that many people with BPD that I've known are very masochistic, not just myself. I won't go into details here but physical pain inflicted on yourself either by yourself or by others can be very addicting because of the perverse pleasure and emotional high it provides. If you feel these things when you are in pain, that's masochism, and if you feel them while hurting another, that's sadism, and it's very easy to be both.

I also relate to paranoid ideation. It's not severe permanent enough to be considered a paranoid personality but I feel it towards my family and friends, and sometimes strangers who are in the same vicinity as me, but it usually passes fairly quickly.
