Because sometimes you want something when you're buried beneath emotions that you may not want a week later.

Because sometimes you think you want something but then someone does something for you that convinces you that you didn't want it.

sometimes is sometimes and all situations are different.

Anyways on topic, I liked that article. They managed to take a very serious issue and add a little humor in a way that still manages to leave a lot of the seriousness intact. I think it's very well written. Some of the things in there are really touching.

I'm glad you like it. I found it uplifting even if the author hadn't had her own experience. I've posted some things from that website before, but it's been hit or miss with people here because the authors didn't have their own experience. However, for me, I deal with a lot with humor. Any humor. I tire of gritty realism, I have enough of it. I hope others enjoyed the article as well.

It's always nice to revisit this article.

Nobody "stopped" any of these, it was more of serendipity. They chose to not act because someone reached them.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of sentimentality either. However, I really liked the first story with the Chinese girl that talked the boy down. Isn't that what we try to do here?

Yeah, you have to understand that I can't deal with emotions so I make caustic comments like that. It makes me go all weird inside.
But the one with the Chinese boy, I just feel sorry for him because it seemed like she was giving him false hope or something. She's gonna go off living her own life, and he's gonna continue thinking about her and what the kiss meant to him. I don't know, seemed a bit cruel to me.
