YKYBPD when you get taken to the hospital under the guise of "high blood pressure" after your spouse calls 911 saying you're suicidal, but you deny being so...

Then, at the hospital, you get pissed at the Dr. b/c you keep telling her you aren't suicidal and she gets angry and tells you to stop wasting her time. You respond to that by throwing your phone at the floor. She responds by ordering a shot of haldol & admitting you as a 1013 for psychiatric issues (non suicidal).

Note to self: Don't throw phones when Dr's are nearby! :)

Also, was that even legal for her to do? In the end, it doesn't matter. I was suicidal & I'm on some meds that are helping. I just want to know if Dr's are really allowed to 1013 someone for throwing a phone at the ground?

When you suddenly feel relaxed and it scares you....because you're used to being pissed at something 24/7 so when you're calm and relaxed and sweet you freak out....

This whole thread. had made me laugh and made my day a little better. Here's one for me and what I've been going through for a few months.

You know you're BPD when the guy you find cute, who you know is somewhat in to your best friend, says something slightly flirty with you and you automatically think he wants me! And you start being flirty back and being sweet to him and when he doesn't respond you get upset. And you begin to cry because you think there is something terribly wrong with you and of course he would never want you. But then you realize he is nothing but an asshole and how could he do that to your best friend and he doesn't deserve to be with anyone and you hope he catches some sort of STD from the probably hundreds of whores he's sleeping with right now and he should go to hell!!

Well, I can't help with that, but your tagline made me smile. I'm BPD and recently diagnosed with bipolar also. Still waiting for someone to declare me human though.... :)

We are human. Our disorders don't define us. They may be a big portion of us, but they're not what makes the whole person. We're made of emotions, feelings and thoughts, just like everybody else, no matter if they fit the borderline or bipolar definition or something else.

LOL, such confidence. So, b/c it's 3 am and I'm bored out of my mind & rarely sleep, I actually decided to look up the definition. It appears that any of us that are not animals or aliens are officially (h)yo͞oməns! :D

hu·man
ˈ(h)yo͞omən

noun
1. a human being, especially a person as distinguished from an animal or (in science fiction) an alien.
