What movies do you like? *Trigger warning*

Just trying to get a bunch of movies for my BPD girlfriend. She seems to only like movies that can keep her attention and interest for long (ie. they are interesting and/or scary, fast paced, not too much dialogue, etc.). Most comedies seem to go over her head, unless it is silly stuff. I'm not sure what extent this relates to BPD. Anyway what movies do you guys like?

Thats a bit silly to ask. Just because we have BPD doesn't mean we all like the same things and are the same person..

Maybe you should ask her?

I agree with Chaudement, this does not seem like something specific to people with bpd, so it's a patronising question. It appears that your girlfriends taste in movies reflects her own intellect and personal taste. And you should definitiely just ask her...???!! Why havent you done that?

Mine fave film is the departed. You could suggest this, but not because she has bpd, just coz its amazing.

And yes all BPDs have an undeveloped brain (ie. inability to comprehend smart jokes, impulsiveness that doesn't allow them to concentrate, etc) so I'm pretty sure there is a trend amongst movies. But I guess it remains a mystery because you choose to be uncooperative and take a nonthreatening thread as an attack.

I do NOT have an inability to comprehend smart jokes! I've had my IQ tested and it was well above average (probably higher than yours is). Being BPD does NOT make you stupid, nor does it necessarily cause a difficulty in concentration.

You say your girlfriend isn't smart enough to understand "intelligent" movies? Yet you also say that all pwBPD like similar movies... fine, try getting her to watch some of my favorite movies: harold and maude, withnail and i, taxi driver (and many others by scorsese), fight club, pulp fiction, resevoir dogs, kill bill (everything by tarantino), permanent vacation, down by law (nearly anything by jarmusch), metropolis (silent film from the 20's), incendies (french film), Amelie, Jeux d'enfants, benny and joon.....

I dont know why I am bothering to write out some of my favorite movies when it wont mean a thing to your girlfriend....
