Hey Simon,

thanks for that, funny that you posted that song at this time. I was just telling someone how things for me have developed somewhat in that the last few weeks I've spend my time finding myself. Getting a sense of self, I was starting to be me and not this 13 year old that I've been trying to hold on to. I have become more accepting of my past and can see that you can't look back on your child hood with an adult mind because clearly you're going to more judgmental etc

I say this because a few lines in there hit me

"no one understands me" - I've noticed this and have decided that it's not just everyone else but I also don't/didn't understand myself either. I only just recently beginning to.

"it been my fate to compensate, for the childhood I've known" Yep was doing that and yet I have realised as I said above that as an adult this is something that needs to change.

MJ is a legend now I need to believe this You are not alone

That song got me thinking of this one:

Hardly an Encyclopedia. It's just my musings and a few select snippits of things I have read or seen that have interested me or had relevance.

I spotted your message and replied to it :)

We hold on to our inner child by trying to lock them in and they just end up acting up and screaming to be let free ...

While this holds some truth under its own merits it isn't what I was trying to explain.

I have (or had) this tendency to look back at things that I did when I was younger and despise myself or feel shame and anger for allowing myself to do such stupid things. But I never took into account the age difference. If I did those things in my current age then I would be in my right mind to feel some of those feelings, but I was only 13 then and as a 13 year old with the knowledge, immaturity and basic needs of that age I can now understand and let go of what I did then.

Seriously though; that song was nauseating. I don't get how a guy could like that song. What the hell is going on?
