There's a lot of older people here with BPD. I'm 32, and no it isn't OK if you reach a certain age in fact it gets worse left untreated be it treated by you, therapy, or both--what do you even mean, exactly? That wasn't very clear there.

And try to stick to one thread, please...

Everyone here does - but knowing is half the battle. Simply knowing and then learning about your own BPD makes you begin to be able to catch yourself and not make the mistakes--at least the ones you yourself consider mistakes and want to stop making.

The thing is though: alcohol and drugs can keep you from thinking about them, and allow you to kid yourself into thinking that things are better than they are. I'm not against anything in moderation (and that goes for anyone) but just as a warning: don't use them as a tool to pretend that you don't have any problems.

Deliberately forgetting on occasion is fine I believe; it's just wise to limit it to rare occasions.
