Do you get bored of life? (not suicidal just bored of life at the moment)
What do you do when you are bored?

I get bored SO MUCH. I go on the computer, read, listen to music, play with my pet rats, watch tv, play video games. If I have my mom's car I'll go to Starbucks or a bookstore. But some days, nothing seems to be enough for me & I'm just constantly bored. I get extremely restless. It's painful. LOL.

Yep I'm bored right now even though I have tons of work to do. Sometimes nothing seems to stop the boredom.
Funny my mother would always say "only boring people are bored". I myself think I'm quite the opposite and I just get bored.
So things I try are:
Internet, forums, funny sites, research
Go for a walk
Listen to music
Find someone to bug - doesn't always go so well
Shopping

Boredom and emptiness is a constant emotional state for me, and being around other people usually helps a little but not a lot. I try to constantly find something to occupy my time with. I do a lot of the same things MMonroe does, in fact I take my ipod with me almost everywhere unless I am with another person. Playing music is great stimulation for your brain and it makes you less painfully bored. Just try to find various forms of entertainment that you enjoy and always make sure to have something to do.

UGH BOREDOM.
I can get so bored I can literally be "bored to tears" and cry at the agony of being so damn bored. For me Alone=Bored. NOt always, as long as I have plans with someone sometime in the near future I am ok with being alone and not bored for a while. But if I have no plans and nothing to look forward to but being alone-horrible boredom kicks in.
My boredom also includes an extreme frustration at not being able to completely solve my own boredom. Nothing seems to be a decent enough solution. Nothing is going to be all that enjoyable anyway. At least not anything currently available. This frustration makes my thoughts race..like "what do I do? what can I do? Should I do this? that? no. thats not going to work. not that either. blah."
A few things I have always used to cope with this, for good or for ill-
Shopping
Making art -which I dont really do anymore and find it hard to start
Smoking
Listening to music-this is a MUST. I couldnt live without music.
Cleaning/Organizing
Talking on the phone
Disassociating- I fantasize A LOT. I'm a Moon Unit. Houston we have a problem.
