I have a mental illness called Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). For a long time it has ruled my life, not anymore. I am going to take hold of my life stand tall and fight this illness. It is not going to get me down and it will never rule my life again.

GFY & good luck with that.

I am pleased to hear the strength of conviction in your post, but I feel I must caution you on how hard it is to break old habits. People, as a rule, are creatures of habit and many times changing these habits can be difficult. I chose to take the rehab approach, where if you mess up (revert back to old habits) don't give up. Recognize the changes you have made (less frequent outburts, less over indulging, etc) and tell yourself "I am getting better and I accept the fact that I'll never be perfect". This always worked for me since I never got along well with perfect people and since I'll never be one, I can like myself.
Sleep is my drug….my bed is my dealer and my alarm clock is the police.MDD, SAD, AvPD, BPD - currently untreated
