Does this anoy you

Postby Pillz » Wed Apr 28, 2010 3:09 pm

Hey all ,

Let me just start by saying i think this site is fantastic , and i absolutely love the advice and support given to me so far , although being a tad bit shy of showing my true colors , i thought to hell with it and wanted to share some of my feelings , and to see what yours are.

Let me start by asking , what annoys you more than anything? , for me the one thing that bugs me more than anything , is people who act as though they have mental health issues , but haven't been professionally diagnosed with anything , yet they still go around saying that have BPD or Bi Polar or Depression , ive noticed its more common in teenagers , most teenagers love to label themselves with mental health issues to seek attention from peers , its what ive come across on other self help sites , like this , only less mature and a hole load more of attention seeking , i think this could well be one of things making the mental health system so bad...

Another thing that makes me literally grind my teeth , is attention seekers in general , they literally make my blood boil and heart race , in fact i get more of a adrenalin rush from listening to someone seek attention , than someone picking a fight with me , im talking about the sort of attention seeking where people threaten to take there lifes , or people who self harm to get a rise out of friends and family , i usually confront attention seekers similar to the the ones i just described , and expose there lies , and it makes me feel good ive just confronted a moron trying to make someone vulnerable care about them.

Anyhow , thanks for reading.

There's nothing wrong with seeking attention.
I do it in real life all the time.
Mostly from my bf.
Who gives it to me when it's convenient.

Hypochondria applies to mental health too, btw.
People uDX could actually be mentally ill.
I know I thought there was something wrong with me since I was 13 yrs old.
And it turned out true.

So...
It's all relative.

I hate when I'm depressed or angry or upset in general and when I try to tell someone I sometimes get, "did you take your lamictal today?"

So apparently I'm not allowed to have real stress. It's all just made up? Or something.

What I hate more than that is "you/she/he hasn't gone through bad stuff like ME, you/she/he don't/doesn't know $#%^."

I'll leave it at that. No time for a list.

Yeah... every time I cry my bf asks if I took my vitamins today (since I'm using the amino acid trick to keep me happy-ish).
I really hate that...

I hate one-uppers... mostly because if you try to one up me you sound like an idiot.
I mean... coke-addict whore is pretty bad... but they do it like they're proud...
"Oh don't worry about it. I was a heroin/coke/meth addict and my bf raped me every night and let his friends do it to me too... and then I'd cut myself, ontop of the beatings they gave me. It was wild!"

Seriously... I don't see why they're proud... I'm sad they've had to go through it, sure, but why are they PROUD of it?

It's easy to one-up me, I've had a pretty good life. I think my chemicals are just messed up and my parents are loving and well-meaning and awesome BUT they're also suffocating. This apparently is what started and perpetuated my BPD.

I've gotten to the point where I just say "yeah, that sucks. But it doesn't help me any. I'm talking about my own $#%^ right now."
