does this sound like bpd?

I am a 24 year old female, my entire life i have suffered from anxiety and mild depression, my mom ws diagnosed with schitzo affective disordr, Anyhow i have a hard time just "being" everything irritates me or makes me cry and my relationship with my boyfriend is suffering from it. we recently moved in together and i get angry every time he leaves or goes out with friends, i want him here with me but then when he is all i do is pick fights, i cant seem to get my emotions in check

Hi, fixme, welcome to the forum! It does sound like you might have some bpd traits, but you should check with a doctor for sure. You can go to your regular doctor and ask to see a psych. When you feel like you might pick a fight with your partner, come here and post or read instead, it may help. You can keep a diary where you can write about your feelings too.

Hello, Fixme. I'm glad you found us. We are pretty evenly divided between BPDs and Nons (i.e., Non-PDs who mostly are codependents like me). Both groups will try to help you when they can. I agree with Jasmin that it sounds like you have some BPD traits. I also agree with her that you would benefit greatly by seeing a professional who can determine whether you have strong BPD traits and, if so, teach you how to better control your emotions.
