Even without her I AM WORTH IT!

1. I've been able to pay all my bills every month and still save $$. This is something I never chose to do while I was with her.
2. I too make a great martini!
3. I can cook which is good cause it was expensive spending money eating out all the time with her, especially when her card was always declined!
4. I'm blogging, doing yoga, and excercising every week!
5. I'm good a bicycle things like building, fixing and riding :D
6. I have a generous heart and am a good friend
7. I'm DEAD sexy  (Sorry bad Austin Powers reference)
8. I'm a good man overall, a nice catch for the right woman if I do say so myself
9. I'm worth not being devalued, accused, blamed, verbally, emotionally and physically abused (includes not being ignored)
10. I'm worth LOVE (not infatuation nor addiction) and not just for what I can do for others but just because of who I am.
11. I'm not coping with sex, booze, drugs and rocn n roll anymore. Well maybe rock n roll.

As for this week, I'm going to get my driver's lic back (long BPD drama story) and get my info together to do my taxes (both this years and lasts  ).
OUCH! That knife you stabbed into my heart hurts when you twist it.

((HUGS)))

Oh sweety you did all the work!!! Thank you so much for sharing, I know how hard it can be. Your very brave.

Lets say I've had some really good therapy myself... All I am doing is applying the techniques I've learned from my Docs to help you look inside of what you are feeling. You are a really wonderful woman. You deserve to get over this addiction to your X

Awwww....I appreciate that! :)

I like the fact that you are open and honest...even though some things are not always easy to hear. You know?....to me it is about healing and learning. If someone notices something that I am doing...I like to be called out...so to speak. That is how people become more self aware.

I just thank you for taking the TIME to talk. You didn't have to do that....;)

((Hug)) aw love fest... Alright back to work!

OK so what strategies are you going to use for not Dwelling...

It's one thing to say, but its kind of a big war, you got to have a plan.

Ha...:)

Well first I am just going to make a list of all the unhealthy aspects of the relationship. How those things affected me....isolated me from friends/family (not totally, but took most of my time away from them), I gained weight due to all the stress (emotional eating), didn't go to the gym as much, she called me incessantly throughout the day....it affected my job. etc.
When I feel like I want her back...I have to look at that list.

I WILL NOT reflect on the 'good times'....

To be honest I am going to think of myself as an alcoholic and her as a big giant martini!! LOL..seriously, I think this would work. My friends felt that SHE consumed too much of me...made me more stressed....they didn't recognize me. I was too consumed with her.
Now reflecting back to my childhood...my parents were consumed with alcohol...made them act different. Even though they liked it...it was not good for them. So even though I love her...I know she is not good for me. Get it?....ah ha!! I always said...I would never choose a substance over my loved ones...may sound drastic...but getting back with her...would almost be the same thing...me choosing her over my loved ones...my health... Does this make sense?

yes absolutely, I think you are on the right track.

Why don't you toss in some excersise too... or something just really positive that you can be proud of every day.
