TiredSoul, welcome to the BPD board at Psychforums. With your very first post you have already started helping someone -- Miss Remorse. I am very glad to hear that you found a therapist that is good enough to diagnose you and start you on the path for recovery.

Because it is uncommon for untreated BPDs to acknowledge that they have this disorder even when a therapist diagnose it, I applaud you for having the self awareness and courage to confront the illness and start working on controlling it. You have those things at 30 but, sadly, my exW does not have them at twice your age -- never mind that I took her to weekly sessions with six therapists over a period of 15 years.

Is someone going to let Miss Remorse get a word in?! LOL....I am joking. I just find it funny that there are so many responses and she really did not give us much information to go on.
