Is it possible for a man to fall in love with woman this condition? I would actually like I was imposing...my sad wrecked life. I actually feel like I should leave him alone so I don't wind up in a bigger mess that I am in,

Anyways, Ilove you all thanks for being here. Your words really help.Goodnight everyone, sweet dreams!!! :D

oh course, why should love not happen because someone suffers with a disorder?

My husband did. We have our 25th anniversary next year and 3 quite well-adjusted kids. When I was young and feeling completely screwed up I would have never imagined that it would be possible for me. I've always tried not to have our relationship that I'm a sick person with him as my crutch. He has, though, been my support by being my role model rather than my crutch. He's very stable and loves life. He really gives me very little sympathy and that actually works for me because I think I could really sink into it, especially when I'm exhausted from all my emotions. I knew he wouldn't put up with me using him as an emotional punching bag so I knew never to do that; that boundary was very clear and helpful. It's been really tough at times but a little easier as time has gone by. Life's not all rosey for me, that's for sure, and sometimes it's as hard as hell, but I do have a good life and feel loved by my husband. I just need keep mustering up the energy to keep working on making this more manageable.

It's very possible for a man to fall in love with a woman with BPD. The hard bit starts a few months in when you start feeling too emotionally committed and so start destroying the relationship (or the partner) to protect yourself from perceived potential abandonment. It's especially likely for things to work out well in the beginning if the guy has some co-dependent traits which compel him to 'rescue' you and try and fix your life for you.

If your question was 'is a constructive long-term relationship possible for me when I have this condition' then the answer is 'yes, but it'll be damn hard work for you and probably your partner'. Note though - it's still a 'yes'. :)
