That's good - I appreciate your vision and determination. It's certainly true that BPD isn't talked about too much. To be honest, I don't understand it entirely myself either. I suspect that people who have BPD are often misdiagnosed as being just depressed. In fact, depression seems to be the base-line diagnosis that doctors use if they can't quite figure out what exactly has gone wrong in a person's life.

Depression along with many other illnesses have been misdiagnosed with BPD. Anxiety Disorders as one, mood disorders as another, personality disorders as another.
Really the only ones who know about BPD are the ones who suffer with it. We all speak a unique language that no one else gets. Here's an example:
One of my best friends is BPD and has a serious temper, I mean a half inch fuse temper. He is constantly fist fighting everyone, however, he has never laid a hand on me, instead we bond and talk all the time because we just get it.
Therapists who know about BPD know it INDIRECTLY, and can only observe it from an outside point of view. In fact anyone who is NOT BPD sees it indeirectly. Those who suffer with BPD know what its like and we all can just chat and get it and understand one another.
If you're wondering what BPD feels like, let me give you an anlogy. Think of a time where someone you loved so much broke your heart. Try and remember how desperate you were to get them back and that you would do anything to get them back. You became so desperate and obsessed with getting this person back that you forgot to manage everything else in your life, and this person took precedence. This is the best analogy I can give, but we'll take it a step further. No inagine that same feeling with any other type of rejection. You got laid off from a job, your mother looked at you the wrong way, your brother or sister said the wrong thing to you, someone just left for a short time but you constantly worry when they'll be back, or as simple as having a great day in your life and something ruined the rest of the day, and you blame God for messing up your life. I hope this can give some sence of understanding.
Yes BPD is very troublesome to us, and we need to get assistance for it. We need the education and the research for it. This is my, and everyone else who has BPD's hope.
God Bless.
I have borderline Personality Disorder, but it does not have me.
