overdoses

Hi I'm new. wednesday I took my worst overdose yet. I was so out of it...I couldn't walk...and I had to drink charcoal. I think I do it because I like the attention, although I was really sick my blood pressure was sky high and my heart rate was too. they had me on iv fluids. I regretted the second I was done swallowing the 19 pills I took. Does anybody else go through. How do you cope?

Not to sound condescending but... if you regretted it as soon as you took the pills, why didn't you make yourself puke?

What drug did you take?

making myself puke would not have matter. I took a leathal amount of benadryl and needed the charcoal to absorb the posion. Had I not gone to the hospital to take the charcoal I could have had kidney and liver damage. that is what the nurse said. Normally someone might take 25mg of benadryl. I took 475mg. I am also impulsive which is just apart of my bpd.

None of it was absorbed, so yes, puking would have gotten rid of most of it. Also, that isn't a lethal dose of Benadryl.

actually the charcoal is made to absorb posion and it was a very extreme od. my blood pressure was sky high so was my heart rate. I am not going to argue with you about wheather or not it was an extreme od. Had I not had any charcoal it would have gone through my system and would have done damage to my liver and kidneys. and take 19 pills which is 475mg for myself was leathal. As for your first post I did the right thing going to the er. I feel like I am not getting any support from you and I thought this was the whole point of this. To gain support. Let me ask you this have you ever taken an oversdose if so. I imagine you made yourself throw up and probably didn't go to the hospital.

I did the exact same thing at the end of May, I took an overdose and had to drink charcol too, and yes I too like the attention. I wanted to created drama and chaos in my life so I did that. I am an attention whore, I will do anything to get it whether postive or negative. Do you have the diagnosis of borderline? I do eventhough I do not see anything wrong with my personality, I am also a narcissist, and how dare they call it a "disorder" I am not defected, I am perfect, okay I will shut up ya'll prolly get bored with me, I have been told I am quite boring, but I so ###$' hot guys love me anyway.
