trying to get her to see that she was triggered

hi, do aall BDP sufferers know what triggered there moods and rages. to cut a long story short the ex has a lot of waif BPD traits. she ended the relationship out of the blue, raged at me and then shut down. I'm in the process or recontacting to collect money owed but now she has snapped back into her friendly self she just says she felt something was wrong. baring in mind she has done this before in her early years will she likely know what has triggered her, or that she pushes people away when they get close or will she be oblivious to it and just have these strong feelings and not know what brings them on? any help much appreciated as i try to work out how to repair this situation
