I don't, either. I'll probably forget to so much as call and tell her Happy Mother's Day.

Though i understand "Mothers day" it is a tradition like other traditions like Fathers day, valentines day etc..all money grabbing ideas to make profit ..nothing more to it than that. we are forced to participate because its a tradition, and i know jaus the reasons why and your right to not participate ...all cards and gifts saying how wonderful "mothers" are ...but people from abusive childhoods cant feel that bond, love affection for someone that doesn't deserve it.
I sometimes feel like a hypocrite sending a card saying "To the best Mother in the world"

Transitions annoy me "mothers day" definitely doesn't fit all, that's for sure.

Every Mother's Day is the same in our family every single year.

I as the scapegoat one just tell my mother "Happy Mother's Day", give her a hug and then that's it. I'm able to be "polite" about it and make a small gesture just to avoid drama.

Then my golden child brother comes over, showers my mother in gifts and sappy words, and they act all emotional and weird.

You should just start completely ignoring her on Mother's Day. Embrace the drama in all its hilarity.

Mmm not a good time for such things lately. My whole body has been incredibly pissed all this past week and still today. I think if I got into some ridiculous argument with my mother right now, someone might lose a limb.

Well I am a mother now, so I don't have to feel empty any more on mothers day (so i keep telling myself and determined to truly believe it one day)

I have my own darling children to spend it with, while no doubt my womb donor spends the day hating on me and thinking about how horrible I am to have ever stood up to her, and now no longer fussing over her on this day.

I hope she spent it miserable and lonely, as my golden child sister has made her escape and moved to a different state. But of course like last year, even after she almost killed my child I was still expected to give her my time on mothers day. At least this year she has known better than to contact me, demanding photo's of my kids as it would be the "least i could do for her"

She should never have been a mother in the first place, so I am relieved I have finally woken up and now treating her the way she deserves, like she is nothing.

It must be so lovely to have kids celebrating you. (: I hope I have that one day.

I spent my mothers day with my family but just ate their food, slept, and played with the baby. I probably shouldn't have even come but they all expected me and I'm not going to miss an opportunity to see that baby.
