Does anyone else here suffer with this? Right now I'm convinced I'm going to have a heart attack because my abdomen keeps making noises after I eat something, I even skipped dinner because I'm frightened for my health and ALL food seems evil. I feel like I'm going to faint

I have health anxiety and have had to ban myself from reading online medical encyclopedia sites, news stories about stuff that causes cancer etc.
I get a weird pain in my side a couple of hours after eating. It's probably nothing or trapped wind at worst, but "What if it's cancer?" Is always in the back of my mind! Every little change in my body, twinge or pain makes me think the worst.
Eating the right kind of food isn't evil, it will make you strong and protect your health. Exercise, sleep well and eat right. Try to challenge the health anxiety and ignore it.
I'm better than I used to be with the health anxiety and work on the assumption that if I'm going to drop dead, there's not much I can do about it, because I'm already eating right, exercising and sleeping well.

I've had bouts of hypochondria in the past. It can be really debilitating if it gets to you.
I agree with the above poster, stay away from looking up your symptoms. Will make it a LOT worse.
what a tangled web we unweave, when we practice to just be

Yeah, going online to check symptoms just feeds the beast.

Tell me about it, I start hyperventilating when I google search symptoms.

Sometimes I just want to live in a hospital, I go there often enough.
