Criteria

Postby Shaved » Sun Jan 24, 2016 1:54 pm

I wonder what criteria you all fit with here.

We only need 5 out of 9, so what have you got?

Do you have an intense fear of being left alone, which causes you to act in ways that, on reflection, seem out of the ordinary or extreme, such as constantly phoning somebody (but not including self-harming or suicidal behaviour)?

Do you have a pattern of intense and unstable relationships with other people that switch between thinking you love that person and they are wonderful to hating that person and thinking they are terrible?

Do you ever feel you do not have a strong sense of your own self and are unclear about your self-image?

Do you engage in impulsive activities in two areas that are potentially damaging, such as unsafe sex, drug abuse or reckless spending (but not including self-harming or suicidal behaviour)?

Have you made repeated suicide threats or attempts in your past and engaged in self-harming?

Do you have severe mood swings, such as feeling intensely depressed, anxious or irritable, which last from a few hours to a few days?

Do you have long-term feelings of emptiness and loneliness?

Do you have sudden and intense feelings of anger and aggression, and often find it difficult to control your anger?

When you find yourself in stressful situations, do you have feelings of paranoia, or do you feel like you are disconnected from the world or from your own body, thoughts and behaviour?
It's all going to be ok.

The only one i don't have is the suicidal one. I did attempt once and self harmed once for a little while to deal with overly intense reaction to abandonment, but mostly I have discarded the idea of suicide. I'll push through no matter what happens.

I also tend to avoid ppl and situations that would trigger me that much too though.

All the other criteria i have very much though

That's a full house for me, but I know I have it pretty bad when it comes to my BPD.

Anyone else have all 9? comparing my score to the others, I feel crazy.

I'm gonna say 8 out of 9. I don't have recurring self harm or suicidal behaviours - well, I do, but they're not as extreme as some other people I know. My self harm is fairly superficial. So for that reason I don't feel like I really meet that criteria anymore. I used to.

Everything else I have in spades.

Congratulations. You must have come a long way!

It's hard to say what I have. I tend to lose track of my own behaviour, so I don't know. Last year it was all 9, but now it might be just 7. And I definately have more than just BPD.
It's all going to be ok.

Same here, but some of my traits dont come now im single so its actually easier to work through my issue while i have myself only to cope with. i think being single had helped a lot.

I think I'm playing a full house, too. I forget how many my psych diagnosed me with, but in the past six months, I've definitely had multiple occurrences of all nine.

I don't know if I have BPD traits, but I sometimes suspect that I might have some Cluster B problem. Some of the above questions seem ambiguous to me, but depending on how I look at them, I might meet 5.

7 out of 9 however 1 of those isn't because my family situation and trauma of past abuse which still affects me today and makes me intensely suicidal and afraid of emotionally dealing with my parents, that's the risky behaviour, so no stealing my parents alcohol, no cannabis, no fights. Mind you, one of my newest alters is called Bloody Violence and they are really into that stuff so I'm going to have to manage until I can leave this ######6 house. My self worth, the other one, is usually pretty crappy due to gender dysphoria but it can shift slightly and will likely go back to ######6 itself up once I am on estrogen.
