I was reading one of her articles..
and I really want to know: is this article accurate?

Without getting into a long-winded critique of the validity of this article, I will simply say that it appears to have been painted with extremely broad strokes...throwing a paint bucket at the target actually. You're going to hit on at least something that resonates, and frankly I found it to read very similarly to the plethora of other online articles that demonize pwBPD more than describing the complexities of the various ways in which the disorder can manifest in different people. It reads more like another good vs. evil dynamic intended to help the "victims" of a BPD relationship.

Here are a few things about Shari Schreiber I found noteworthy:

* She "treats" patients exclusively over the phone.
* She does not work as a state-licensed clinician.
* Her insight into BPD comes from "working" with the partners and relatives of pwBPD.

angelinbluejeans, you asked if this article is "accurate". I will only make this point: With knowing that BPD is a highly complex scenario, sharing possible comorbidity with other PDs as well as mood disorders, can anything you're able to read in less than 10 minutes be "accurate"?

I appreciated your response. And I do feel that she vilifies some individuals and wrongly so. Thanks again for your well thought out response...

Uh... Did anyone else catch a strong whiff of internalised misogyny coming from this woman? She doesn't write like a balanced, objective person, to me.

Shari is a nasty piece of work that encourages her clients to view all pwBPD as evil that needs to have war waged on.
