Hi,
i've been thinking about calling a friend. but i dont know what to say, whether should i call him. what if he's busy or ends up feeling sorry for me, that 'aw...this guy was in depression, be nice when talking with him.'
do you guys stay in touch with ur friends?
its tiring when i am always making the call. at times i think why isnt he texting me? its so frustrating.

I try to stay in touch with my close friends, but it's hard. Don't get me wrong, I love them like family, but especially when it comes to calling or texting, I find it tedious and exhausting. I'm not very good at social skills on either (typical guy: call/text - here's what I want. You in/out? Yes? Good, here's details. Bye.)
When I'm with them in person, I'm a whole different dog; I can hang with them for days. But on the phone? I'm like Peter McNeeley - I can hardly last two minutes.

Anything you want to talk about?
My suggestion is to just call him. I know it's hard, but I'm sure he'll be happy to hear from you. And you'll probably feel a little better, hearing his voice again, too.

Yup, I second the motion. My best friend moved out of the region, I tried to call every so often, so did he. The bad thing is we never really sent a shout during holidays, etc. This is not good. To make a long story short, I shot him an email wishing him a happy Thanksgiving, but he's just like me, I probably got painted black. He never returned the email. He's cold like that, I'm the same way.
