Trigger Warning

For me it's more a matter of politeness.

It's often more effective when the topic is included like *TW: Rape* but I don't really do that so much. It kind of gives people a heads up if they're in an emotional state that what they read could further upset them.

Don't know if it works. I don't have PTSD and I don't really get affected by other people's emotions in terms of further upsetting mine.

I think it's still just generally good policy.

Because sometimes some people might not be in the mood to get riled up. Maybe they are about to go to work or somewhere else and don't want to be in an emotional state. So anything that could stir up their emotions and destabilize their mood is a trigger, so if you put TW, they know not to read it if they are not prepared to be set off emotionally.

Well, I suppose it could work, if we knew what to prepare for. You put the 'tw' next to your Female Hypervigilance thread and I had no clue that your video would post an outright lie about the safety of this world. That pretty much triggered me lol

if i am about to post some reply that may be a little frank, then i say, 'warning may trigger.'

else i use it when posting about self harm.
