I think it's just too big of a question for some internet forum to even scratch the surface.

I think it's a myth. Mentally ill people are uglier, if anything. Actually, you can clearly see less attractive people have lower mental health overall.

Fat people are a good example. They usually have poor mental health.
A lot of mentally ill people have appetite issues, or take medications that increase appetite (7 in 10 meds will make you baloon up). Depression, bipolar and anxiety all affect your appetite and metabolism of carbohydrates by themselves. Opposite also happens, they can never gain weight. Seen people with depression die from starvation. Same with schizos (unless they're being treated, than it's the megaobesity train for them).

Some Cluster B PDs can be more attractive, and most of them CARE A LOT about that, so they work on their appearance relentlessly, usually. And indeed, it's how they are able to pull out a lot of what they do. But like I've said, these are the ones being noticed. "The charming psychopath".
Well, they're not the only ones. And honestly, the ones who aren't are more harmful, usually.

I know a BPD girl, who is fat, unnatractive either way, and very, very annoying. She's also super tall, and combined with the fatness, shes able to play rugby very well. And she does it for the sheer pleasure of hurting people and pretending it was an accident. And she used to always mention how she hurt a certain girl and implied with a lot of subtlety (or not, sometimes) it was because this girl had something better than hers. More attractive, more intelligent, made more money, etc.. She was cliché enough to say "She thought she was so special with that nose, I showerd her hahaha". Then she woudl bitch about her father (who was like to blame for everything she has going bad in her life/herself) used to make fun of her nose.

BPD does not equal good looks, but it's much better when it does. They're overall nicer. Ugly BPDs suffer more (and consequently will revenge themselves more).

Well every girl in the last years that i gave pictures too said I was cute, not that it has gotten me anywhere until recently though.

But tbh I don't think you can link looks to mental health, I would still look the same without borderline and I would look the same if I had like 5 things next to borderline.

Life asked Death : ''Death, why do people love me, but hate you?''
Death stared for a minute and replied : '' because my dear, you are a beautiful lie and i am a painful truth ''

Because it's a follow up of the posts in the thread, one in which I specifically agreed with yours.

You do know self harming does not make a BPD diagnosis, Right?

no correlation at all in my experience.
some are blessed with outward good looks and that is an asset. others suffer from ugliness on top of things.

Youre right. The correlation is silly. This is a dicussion now of BPD and good looks however frequent the combination

I only know one girl with bpd that's actually diagnosed, and she's overweight, rarely does anything with her hair or makeup, always has animal hair on her clothes, and she has a wart on her nose. Definitely not very attractive.
