Yes. All the time. Mostly just in my head though.
I spend a lot of time alone so I do it quite frequently.

Last night though at work I was repeating the same things to myself that I was thinking about for almost an hour. At certain times I think I was even saying stuff out loud and every now and then my coworker would ask me what I was talking about.

Kinda embarrassing. Makes me feel like a weird person. Which I guess I am.
Just taking it one day at a time. My emotions tend to get the better of me. But I've been making an effort to balance myself out!

i'm worried about it. do you guys also do this and how do you stop this?

Nooo, this is no psychosis. Unless you start to think they're actually there, but than again, if that was the case, you wouldn't be there, so relax.
I've been doing this for more than 10 years, I've been informed my friends doing the same thing, too. You just want to talk to them and get the response you want. I once asked myself why didn't I call them if I wanted to talk so much that I'm doing this, but then, the real thing proved so incredibly FAR LESS satisfying (don't know if this is a correct way to put it but), I just kept doing what I've been doing.

I prefer the term "thinking out loud." It makes it sound like there's just so much going in my brain that my thoughts can't all be contained, rather than the simple fact that I'm a little loco.

I do this all the time. I don't think I talk to imaginary people, but I voice my thoughts out loud, I replay old conversations, etc. I've always done this. I never understood why people think its weird. I thought everyone did it and I've caught other perfectly normal people doing it too.

I would not worry about it. Only if you can't control it in public, then it might become a problem. But in the privacy of your own home you can do whatever you like.

Yes, I didn't realize how much until one day I was at the shoe store and I was having a conversation with myself (out loud) about which shoes to buy. A lady looked at me and smiled. I was quite embarrassed. I talk to myself because I have no real friends only associates.

I am an only child, so as a kid i had imaginary friends and sort of an imaginary persona sometimes haha. Like I was able to pretend I was someone else and talk to imaginary friends. As I have gotten older it is something that has stuck with me, either using ppl I actually know or fictional people. I usually I imagine myself as someone different, like me but more outgoing and possibly living somewhere else with this friend or person. I do it before I go to sleep. I am not sure if it is just something I do now to relax or something psychotic, but I really have no trouble telling people anything else in my life, this is not something I tell most people because i genuinely feel like a child with an imaginary friend and an imaginary life. I am not sure if it is some of the BPD i have in my that uses this to pretend I can have normal friendships and relationships, or again just an old habit I use to help relax me.

Yes, mostly when I'm depressed and I'm depressed 90% of my waking life. I even have an imaginary friend. He comes to me when I'm super sad to hold me and say that everything is gonna be alright. How weird is that?
