2 Borderlines fall in love

Postby Flame 1 » Sun Jun 08, 2014 9:26 pm

I'm quite certain my ex and I are both BPDs. Is it common for 2 BPDs to fall in love? What happens when they do?

I don't think it can work out. I'm pretty sure my ex was also bpd and even though we were incredibly passionate and in love, we just weren't compatible. We were both too insecure, jealous and afraid for it to ever work. It was a very short relationship too.

I wouldn't say that it absolutely can't work out.

I just think it's important to maybe attend counseling together. If both are diagnosed borderlines, than some self-awareness and awareness between the two partners might actually be helpful.

My dad recently married a borderline, and having this new stepmother as support has been great so far. She's the only person I've ever met who understands my feelings exactly.

I think this could ring true for a romantic partner as well.

Sure, it can work, but it is also likely to have legendary fights (con) and incredible sex (pro).

The positive side of being with another Borderline is that they "get" you.

I think the best thing for two Borderlines in love is to make sure they're both in therapy.

Not trying to hijack this post, but it says you take fish oil supplements? What are the benefits of that? I'm willing to try anything when it comes to reducing symptoms, is why I'm asking.

It's been discussed on this forum before; you can find some good info on the Internet.

Basically, fish oil can help with a person's mood.

No worries, welcome to the forum! Here's a thread you might find interesting:

You will want to talk to your doctor before taking any supplements. Hope that helps.

I take the Sundown brand of Fish Oil Omega 3 that minimizes fish burps, because fish burps - ew. But when I started taking them I immediately noticed a difference.

I agree: 2 persons with BPD = great sex, romance, and comfort. Both try to please each other and from my personal experience, neither one of us ever mirrored the other. It was like we were truly "ourselves".

However, I agree that both need to be working on getting better and pretty self-aware. They both have to say "I have BPD and so do you, let us help remind each other and ourselves this when things get heated."

Boundaries/rules need to be established immediately. Yes they probably will be broken, but it is how both persons deal with the fallout.
Good times for a change. See the luck I've had, can make a good man turn bad. So please, please, please, let me get what I want. This time...
