My dad triggers me to the 10th degree, what can I do?

What's the use, same stinking garbage, different day. What's the use. Please let it end soon.

If you live with him you can move out and try to avoid him as much as possible. Old people are not likely to change.

I have the exact same issue with my father. I had to move back in with him, and it's his house, so I put up with it, but I'm due to snap on him any day now.

Marsha Linehan says to build a room in your mind, and fill the room with things that make you happy, and feel good. Build the room at a time when you're not angry, and decorate it, furnish it, really visualize it. Then when you are triggered, imagine yourself being in that room

I would like to give you more advice but i don't know the circumstances - however - maybe a good idea would be, beside avoiding him, find a way to communicate more effectively and assertively with him.

Apply your boundaries when you are in a discussion with him and most important...try not to become aggressive even if he is. Trust me, its not about you. Your dad most likely has his own ingrained patterns he is not likely to change.

This one has been the rubik's cube problem, rigged complete with explosives for each wrong move, trust me.

I'm loving this idea, thank you. I love to daydream, this one is going to be totally enjoyable to plan!!

I don't always remember this, but it is so true.
