Google Melanie Tonia Evans

Her blogs helped me get over my Ex Narc a lot

And to see my role and to examine why I would get involved with someone like that to begin with
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."

"We have to face the pain we have been running from. In fact, we need to learn
how to rest in it and let its searing power transform us. "

Thanx! I 'll do that!
Im in quite nice state now, I understand him and that behavior better, also mine. And as it's been 6 months now, Im in nice state, forgotten all the extremely bad stuff.
Only danger is, he'll try to come back..
From what I said and did to him, I doubt that. But should stay cautious.

I have never been diagnosed with bpd or any kind of personality disorder but I strongly believe that I have one...and I fluctuate between thinking bpd or covert narc. I basically feel profoundly inferior yet superior to people all at once. I'm a weirdo.

I feel like whatever I do have has flown under the radar because I have pretty good impulse control and I'm fairly high functioning, combined with the fact that I usually don't communicate with people other than my therapist about my problems. but inside I feel like a mess. I've always felt like I just have everyone fooled. low self-esteem probably also feeds into that belief...

I don't know--

Codependency is a learned behavior and might seem *forced*? More approval oriented

Borderline will seem "less" forced but still a product of stressors? It will seem (to the trained eye) more like a child trying to get needs met??????????????? Less approval, more needs being met?

I'm not familiar with covert narcissism, and they might overlap but I think that covert narcisssism might not seem as obvious as a behavior displayed by people labeled as borderline?

I dont' know.

This is all b***$#%^ straight from an NPD ...and no - not you kiskis. In a place where peoples identities are already shaky...really?? I would hope this wouldn't fly with a lot of bpds anyways. Oh yea.....just my personal opinion.

Me too. I have always felt like Im different.
Overly emotional and sensitive. But then again somehow strong and overbearing.
Afraid someone's going to walk over me if Im not careful. Rather keep the distance than reveal myself.
At first I thought it would be just codependency, but i've got something bigger than that. I seek approval with some people, but usually go my own ways. Hate norms you should follow.

Covert I dont really know, even my healthy narcissistics features are a bit lost now. After that ugly relationship. But don't think that attention seeking side does promise any good.

Actually, I did understand the thread. I was just a bit confused at the start. There is no need to curse at me.

None taken. It took quite some time to realize, it's not all just mean world out there. There's something big time wrong with me as well.
All that count's is how you take things. React and what's your attitude.
